The Bore is a comedy-ballet in three acts and in verse by Molière, made ??for the entertainment of the king in August 1661. This is the first comedy-ballet created by Molière. The music is by Pierre Beauchamp and Lully, favorite composer of the king. The poet Paul Pellisson wrote in the prologue. The first performance was given on 17 August in the park of the castle of Vaux-le-Vicomte , the Molière's on the occasion of the famous and sumptuous feast given by the Superintendent Fouquet in honor of Louis XIV. It is then shown in public in Paris on 4 November 1661, at the Théâtre du Palais-Royal . The music and ballet are Pierre Beauchamp, the sets of Giacomo Torelli. In this play Molière decided to fulfill its three acts of a parade of all kinds of annoying talking to preventing Erastus Orphise he loves, and he will get the hand at the end of three act.
