Le Lutrin is a french work. It is a famous parody epic of Nicolas Boileau , subtitled "mock-heroic poem." While the first four songs predate the poetic art , as published between 1672 and 1674 , the last two songs were born in 1683 . First called "heroic poem" (Epic), Boileau it substituted the subtitle of "mock-heroic poem" in 1698 , on the advice of his friends. Its development seems to be due to a challenge: Boileau have sought to demonstrate the possibility of an epic about as thin as they are subject. The parodic nature of the work is to be understood in a different sense to the Virgil transvestite for example.
