Many books cover the technical aspects of project management but few include an in-depth discussion of the human aspects of project management. In addition, the numerous books on general management, industrial psychology and behavioral science generally lack relevance to and emphasis on the project environment. And there are hardly any books focusing exclusively on the human aspects of project management, even though such focus is critical to making the most of human resources on projects and programs. This book is intended to fill this long-standing need by providing a comprehensive, unified and practical combination of project management skills (with emphasis on human relations and interpersonal skills), general management principles, and relevant theoretical and practical background information on organizational behavior.
